Symptoms

The blade lock will not engage, the clamping screw will not loosen or tighten, or the blade and washers cannot be assembled securely.
- Blade Speed Or Cutting Force Is Below Normal
The blade turns, but speed or cutting force is below normal in a correctly supported wood cut.
- The Battery Pack Will Not Seat, Latch, Or Release
The battery will not slide in, latch, stay latched, or release normally.
- The Bevel Setting Or 90 Degree Cut Accuracy Is Wrong
The bevel lever will not lock, the quadrant setting moves, or a cut is not square when the pointer is at zero.
- The Depth Adjustment Will Not Set, Lock, Or Hold
The shoe will not set or clamp at depth, or cutting depth changes during use.
- The Electric Brake Does Not Stop The Blade Promptly
After trigger release, the blade coasts too long or stopping is inconsistent.
- The Saw Grinds, Knocks, Rattles, Or Vibrates Abnormally
The running saw has harsh noise or vibration not caused by the workpiece.
- The Trigger Or Lock-Off Control Does Not Work Safely
The lock-off will not block or release the trigger, or the trigger sticks or switches unreliably.
- The Saw Starts, Then Cuts Out With The Trigger Held
The saw starts, then stops while the trigger stays held, under load or at no load.
- The Blade Slips, Wobbles, Or Runs Incorrectly
The blade shifts, runs off-center, rubs the guard, or its teeth oppose the guard arrow.
- The Saw Will Not Start Or Produce Any Response
- Pressing lock-off and trigger produces no motor or blade motion - the worklight may stay dark.
- The Lower Blade Guard Does Not Retract Or Close Freely
The lower guard binds, moves slowly, rubs, stays open, or fails to cover the blade.
