• Numbered setting is too low for the fastener
• Collar is between detents or drill mode is not fully aligned
• Bit, fastener, or material is causing abnormal resistance
• Clutch spring, cam, gear, or drive interface is worn or broken

1. The clutch releases only at the selected driving torque and stays engaged in drill mode, or the early-release fault is proven.

1. Increase the numbered setting gradually for driving, or retest once in fully aligned drill mode without forcing the tool.
2. If it still releases too early at suitable settings or slips in drill mode, route the clutch and gearbox to service.
3. Release the trigger at early ratcheting, remove the battery, and verify the collar is fully aligned with a detent or drill mode.
4. Fit a sound correct bit, secure suitable scrap material, and choose range 1 for driving or the proper range for drilling.
