Causas probables
- Dust, chips, corrosion, or a damaged bit binds the jaws
- The bit is side-loaded or bottomed incorrectly
- Chuck sleeve, jaw scroll, or automatic spindle lock is damaged
- Impact or overtightening distorted the chuck

- The jaws open and close smoothly and the bit releases by hand, or the seized chuck is removed from owner service.

- Turn the sleeve by hand through a short open-close range while keeping fingers clear of the bit and jaws.
- If the sleeve or jaws remain seized, or the bit cannot be released safely, route the chuck and spindle lock to qualified service.
- Center the direction button, remove the battery, support the tool, and support any sharp or heavy bit so it cannot fall.
- Brush loose dry debris from the jaw openings and relieve any side load without striking, heating, oiling, or gripping the chuck with powered motion.
