FM-14: Electrical Hazard - Liquid, Smoke, Sparks, Melting, Or Burning Odor

Liquid entered the saw or charger, or the tool, pack interface, charger, or wiring area smokes, sparks, melts, hisses, or smells of active burning.

• Internal short, damaged wiring, switch, electronic module, or motor failure
• Liquid intrusion or wet battery/charger interface
• Scorched contacts, incompatible equipment, or conductive debris
• Battery fault has transferred heat or damage into the tool or charger

1. No affected item returns to service until qualified evaluation confirms electrical and structural safety, or the item is permanently removed from use.

1. Release the trigger, move people away, and remove external power only if it can be done without approaching a blade, heat, liquid, smoke, or damaged conduc
2. Do not touch wet electrical parts, reinstall a battery, plug in the charger, or attempt to dry-and-test the affected item.
3. Keep the item away from combustibles and follow local emergency guidance for continuing heat, smoke, hissing, or fire.
4. - Have the complete affected saw, battery, and charger professionally evaluated or retired - do not open any housing for owner repair.
