FM-04: The Battery Will Not Install, Latch, Or Release From The Saw

A compatible-looking pack will not slide fully onto the rails, will not remain latched, or will not pull free when the release button is pressed.

• Pack is misaligned, incompatible, swollen, or damaged
• Sawdust or a bent rail is obstructing travel
• Battery release button or latch is jammed, cracked, or not returning
• Handle rails or battery-interface housing are damaged

1. The pack slides on without force, clicks securely, cannot disengage unintentionally, and releases normally when the button is pressed.

1. Place the saw on a stable side surface, release the trigger, and do not force, hammer, or pry the pack.
2. Inspect the pack case, rails, latch, release button, and saw rails for debris, swelling, cracks, heat damage, or bent plastic.
3. Clean the rails dry, align the pack squarely, slide until it latches, or press the release fully and pull the pack straight out.
