Charger green LED flashes
Bit jams or drill stalls
Smoke, liquid, swelling, or major damage
The bit passed initial insertion, but backs out, falls free, or loses drive while the chuck body stays secure.
The bit rotates, but no impact pulses begin when a correct fastener provides normal resistance.

The motor runs normally, but the LED is dead, dim, or intermittent with trigger use.
