- Blade wobbles or grinds
- The blade turns, but the saw feeds poorly, stalls in the kerf, burns the wood, splinters excessively, or overloads during an ordinary cut.
- The saw suddenly lifts, jumps toward the operator, climbs out of the kerf, or walks backward as the blade pinches or twists.
