• Battery is reversed or misaligned on the rails
• Dry nonconductive debris obstructs a rail or stop
• Pack rail or retention feature is deformed
• Charger rail or cavity geometry is damaged

1. A sound compatible pack slides straight to the fully seated and retained position without force, or the faulty complete item is identified and removed from service.
