1. The hook is for a suitable stable structure between uses only. Keep the area below clear and never use it for fall protection, tethering, or body carry. The hook stows without interference and, only when authorized safe, supports the unpowered saw securely on a suitable stable structure between uses.

1. Remove the battery and place the saw on a stable surface instead of hanging it.
2. Inspect the hook, pivot, attachment, surrounding housing, and stowed position for bend, crack, looseness, interference, or missing hardware.
3. Do not bend the hook back, improvise hardware, tether the tool, hang it from a person, or suspend it or another object overhead.
4. Have the exact hook and attachment restored by authorized service, or keep the hook out of use and store the saw on a stable surface.
