1. The clutch ratchets before overdriving at an appropriate low setting, or the no-release fault is proven.

1. Install a verified battery and drive slowly while holding the tool straight, stopping immediately if the fastener begins to overdrive without ratcheting.
2. If several low settings never release under a valid comparison, remove the battery and route the clutch and gearbox to service.
3. Remove the battery and set up a matching fastener and sound driver bit in suitable scrap material.
4. Set the collar to a low numbered position, use range 1, and confirm the index is not on drill mode.
