- Turn the empty chuck slightly by hand while moving the selector gently into range 1 and then range 2.
- If it still will not reach both positions, keep the tool unpowered and route the selector fork or gearbox to service.
- Stop the chuck completely and remove the battery before touching the speed selector.
- Dry-clean around the selector and inspect the cap and housing for cracks, looseness, or obstruction.
