Dust skirt no longer forms an intact ring

The skirt around the pad is torn, missing, folded, or no longer forms a continuous ring.

• Normal wear or abrasive contact
• Skirt was trapped during pad service
• Impact or heat damaged the material
• Wrong pad clearance is rubbing the skirt

1. The skirt forms a continuous clear ring without rubbing the pad.

1. Remove the battery and inspect the full skirt ring around the pad.
2. Clear trapped dust and verify the pad is centered and not rubbing the skirt.
3. If the skirt is merely folded, restore its shape without removing the housing.
4. If torn, missing, or mount-damaged, stop dust-producing use and verify service options.
