- Remove the battery, loosen the depth lever, and clear exposed dry sawdust from the depth guide, lever, and shoe movement path.
- Confirm the correct blade is centered and clamped, and inspect the shoe, guide, lever, and lower guard for bend, crack, interference, or missing hardware.
