• Charger is on a soft surface or in a hot enclosure
• Battery is hot, damaged, or drawing abnormal current
• Conductive dust is restricting or bridging the charger
• Internal power or thermal component is failing

1. The charger remains within normal warm-to-touch behavior through a complete charge, or the heat-producing complete item is removed from service.
