FM-11: DEPTH OR BEVEL ADJUSTMENT WILL NOT MOVE OR HOLD

The depth or bevel adjustment mechanisms will not move, lock, or hold their setting, causing inaccurate cuts and unsafe operation.

• Sawdust or resin is packed in a pivot or scale
• Lever or knob is not fully released or tightened
• Threads, cam, pivot, or scale are worn
• Shoe or linkage is bent from impact
• External adjustment hardware is cracked or missing

1. The shoe moves smoothly when released, locks without slip, and preserves the selected depth and angle.

1. Clean accessible sawdust and resin from the pivot, scale, and external threads with a dry brush and cloth; do not force the mechanism.
2. Set the depth or angle, lock it firmly, and push on the shoe by hand to verify it cannot shift; reject any cracked lever, knob, or bent linkage.
3. If the adjustment remains jammed, stripped, or unable to hold, replace only approved owner-accessible hardware or route the saw to service before cutting.
4. Remove the battery and support the shoe, then release only the depth lever or bevel knob for the adjustment being checked.
