FM-06 MOTOR RUNS BUT THE BLADE DOES NOT TURN

Diagnostic overview

FM-06 MOTOR RUNS BUT THE BLADE DOES NOT TURN

Likely Root Causes

  • Blade bolt or outer washer is loose or assembled wrong
  • Blade is not seated on the spindle
  • Blade bolt or washer is damaged
  • Gear train or spindle has stripped or broken
  • Spindle lock damage is interfering with the drive

Quick Checks

  1. The securely mounted blade follows the spindle immediately and runs without slipping.

Repair Preview

  1. Inspect blade seating, rotation direction, outer washer, and the left-hand blade bolt; engage the spindle lock only while stopped and tighten the bolt counterclockwise.
  2. With the battery removed, rotate the blade gently by hand and verify the spindle turns with it without clamp slip, grinding, or abnormal free play.
  3. If the motor runs but the correctly clamped spindle or blade still does not drive, stop testing and have the gear train, spindle, and lock serviced.
  4. Release the trigger, wait for all motion to stop, remove the battery, and do not run the saw again until the blade drive is checked.
