Diagnostic overview
FM-07 BLADE WOBBLES, RUBS, VIBRATES, OR GRINDS
Likely Root Causes
- Blade is bent, cracked, chipped, or wrong bore
- Blade, washer, or bolt is dirty or misassembled
- Blade bolt is loose
- Shoe or guard is bent into the blade path
- Spindle or bearing has side play or damage
Quick Checks
- A correct blade runs true, clears the guard and shoe, and produces no abnormal vibration or grinding.
Repair Preview
- Remove and reinstall the blade in the correct direction with clean mating surfaces, the correct outer washer, and the blade bolt securely tightened.
- Rotate the blade by hand with the battery out and check for side rub, guard contact, a bent shoe, or spindle side play through a full revolution.
- Perform a brief clear no-load test only if the hand check is normal; persistent wobble, grinding, or side play requires authorized spindle or bearing service.
- Remove the battery, place the saw on a stable surface, and inspect the blade for bending, cracks, missing tips, wrong bore, or other damage; replace any suspect blade.
